Won't have pictures until I get home.  The company didn't want to do the electroless plating.  For the unfamiliar, a process where they dip aluminum in a solution to give it a coating of zinc, then in a solution that is heated to give a coating of nickel.  The guy said that if they miss a spot with the zinc that it would destroy their nickel solution.  They did the electroplating instead.  I was hoping for the golden tone actually, but the bright chrome will do for now.
