The Spintech was still in perfect condition after about 200 hours on a turbo port (no turbo installed) 13B. It was slightly better at sound reduction than the Hushpower II but it was heavy (14 lbs I think) and draggy (big frontal area) when installed under the plane. It is going on the -8 if the Hushpower II fails or has other problems. I did notice a small reduction in power on the 20B with Hushpower compared to direct out of the collector (2 1/4" I / O on muffler) but the OAT was different among other factors during the tests so not sure that was the reason.
The Spintech was a special order type made of 321 SS so it was also expensive as I recall. Can't remember price now.

Mine is brown too (it was the painted version so no surprise) and you can see daylight through the two sets of perforated cones when brand new.

Yes, I have two but they may be sharing the load, so was interested if any other single muffler use was having a problem. I know Tracy has not, but then he's flying the Renesis which is undoubtedly easier on the mufflers.

I have had my Hushpower installed for 200+ hours, and no problems. I have the NA block with splitters, so I suspect that helps with the longevity issue.
