For our purposes, this doesn't seem to make a big difference. I had a 1.75" headers into 2" collector which worked pretty well and sounded like music with a cherry bomb glasspack (for about 5 hours). I use a 1.75 to 2.25 on the 20B. On the Renesis it is almost literally a non factor due to the lack of any I/E overlap.
