I'm assuming they are going after the folks that are trying to make a business of selling engines or redrives and not the DIY guy. I am involved with a project with one of these companies and it is a very real threat. It makes me wonder if Subaru will be next. It would be hard to spend resources to make an auto conversion knowing the manufacturer may shut you down. They have very deep pockets and could break you before it ever went to court. This really sucks as it will hurt us all.
