The Benefits of Flying Commercial...

First, it was a great event.  Thanks Tracy for the flight in your RV.  What a boost to get my project moving ahead.  And for Laura, what an amazing woman.  She kept everything humming like clockwork.  Where does all that energy come from? 

Anyway, for my story about my flight back to Texas on SWA.  Since I flew standby, I ended up sitting in the next to the last row, next to a cowboy (hat, boots, belt buckle, etc.) and a his very cute wife.  They both had plenty to drink (he alone had a minimum of four beers and a bloody mary... I couldn't keep count on her bar tab).  At this point I must mention that she was wearing a skimpy little top that string-tied in the back, and what I could only imagine to be a wonder bra, if you get my meaning.  Anyway, about halfway through the flight she has to go to the lavatory.  She wiggles her way across her husband's lap, and I get up and step into the aisle to let her out.  Well, in the process, her string tie gets caught on the knob that holds the tray table in place and she doesn't realize it and keeps on walking.  I look at her husband, who see's it, and then back at her as she is walking down the aisle oblivious to what's going on.  I didn't realize that those strings were that long, because it stretched out about four feet and almost pulled through the loops in the back of her top.  She stopped and turned around once she realized something was going on, or about to come off.  She looks at her husband who promptly points to me and says, "he did it".  Great, there I stood, red-faced with my mouth hanging open and all I could do is show her that my hands were free and nowhere near her blouse.  Her husband burst out laughing, and then she started laughing too.  Only then could I even consider laughing.  She went into the lavatory and hooked herself back up and all was well again.  All's well that ends well, I guess.  So, occasionally there are some unique benefits to flying commercial.

Never did like flying commercial.
 
Got up at 2 am at Tracy's to drive to Orlando ( 3 hour drive) for an early flight back.
2:05 am.  Tree down on 50th by Tracy's, able to get the top off the tree and drive around.
Made airport promptly, got on big plane with lots of kids crying and screaming.
Encountered serious turbulence halfway to Cincinnati, lots of kids crying (this time with a good reason tho).
Guy sitting next to me gets airsick and leaves a deposit in his plastic head phone bag.
All the while stuck in a seat that had less room than a C 150.
 
Working late tonite on the plane.
