The Delta is a flying wing design, ie the fuselage is airfoil shaped and actually carries 1/3 of the air load. My assumption was that as an airfoil, it would have airfoil characteristics. NACA studies indicated that the lowest pressure point on an airfoil was at the 70% MAC point.
