Greetings,

After fiddling = with my=20 stock housing version of the single rotor for almost 3 years now, I'm = afraid=20 that I just don't see any future in using it as a replacement for a=20 912S.   Even with the elusive aluminum side housings, it = would be=20 35 lbs heavier, and still have to contend with all the pulse reversal = issues,=20 and rough idle problems that occur with any single chamber=20 engine.  Bottom line, I'm done spending time and money on the single = rotor=20 project, and I'll be selling the single rotor engine, or just the = shafts (I=20 have two).  How it gets sold really depends on whether anyone else = is=20 interested in buying the assembled engine or=20 not.

Aside from = the single=20 rotor engine itself, I also have an EC2 and EM2 (small LCD) with = all the=20 latest updates, along with the Autoflight redrive that will fit any = 13B. =20 The drive is rated for 160HP, and 6000 rpm, and is about a 2.5 = ratio. =20 It seems well built, and is quite a bit lighter than the Tracy's=20 drive.  It is offset such that the prop can be higher, or lower = than the=20 E-shaft, by a few inches, which could be really handy in some=20 installations.  I also have about 2 complete engines worth = of usable=20 parts, so I believe I have enough stuff for a complete 2 = rotor, 160 HP=20 engine.

My desire would = be to keep=20 this all together, as a good package for something like an = RV-9, where 160=20 HP is ideal.  I have to admit, that I'm considering building such a = plane=20 myself, but haven't decide if it's something I really want to do.  = I had=20 planned on building an RV-12 next, but if I can find a=20 second hand RV project cheap, I might not be able to resist = another=20 two rotor RV.

If anyone has a = strong=20 desire to purchase any of this stuff, let me know and I'll try to get a=20 better inventory of it all, along with a price.  Anyone = purchasing the=20 bulk of the engine parts will have to be close enough to come = get them=20 (near Pensacola, FL), because it just wouldn't be worth the cost and = effort to=20 pack and ship all the heavy engine = parts.

Hopefully, = someone REALLY=20 wants the package of stuff for the two rotor engine, so I can = forget=20 about throwing together another rotary RV.  Of course, if=20 anyone knows of an RV project for sale cheap, I guess I'd like = to hear=20 that as well.
