Snip
In any case, it appears that I am no longer on his list
as I have received no ACRE e mails since I responded to
Paul.
Let's face it, Ed, He's still pissed that your engine is
still running.
Bob Darrah
Bob, You mean all I would have needed to do to stay on
the good side of Paul was to switch my "Plugs Up" engine to the automobile
orientation. Why didn't you say so sooner {:>)
No, I'm afraid Paul and I just have a different
philosophy about the learning process, sharing information, and promoting
the rotary movement. Its been apparent for a while, but, I felt that
Paul's intentions were good even if he and I didn't necessarily
agree on what was "fact"and what was "opinion". He really feels that
he has a mission to reduce the "misinformation" about the rotary
engine. The only problem I have with that is that he feels he is the
only one really qualified to do so. He
apparently feels that I and most of the rest of us simply don't understand
the rotary as he does. Its his list, so of course, he can run it as
he sees fit.
I long ago recognized that there was great value in
keeping free discourse going with everyone feeling comfortable about
expressing an opinion without fear of being ridiculed. Even when
working as a manager, I very quickly learned that if you beat up the
messenger - pertty soon no one will tell you when the rouge elephants are
pounding down the cooridor {:>).
So while I consider Paul a friend, sometimes even
friends have to part ways. I wish him the best of luck, but just
don't thing it useful to either of us for me to continue to be on the
rotaryeng list.
Are you making it to Shady Bend?
Best Regard
