I agree with Jason, I 've had the same ball joints for 10
years now. I did change the springs and hardware once during that
period. However, while they do great with lateral misalignment they by
themselves only provide limited longitudinal give (they can pull against the
springs and that provides some but not much-in my opinion). Having said
that, that is the only "slip" factor in my exhaust system, but apparently it is
enough. Recall though, my headers are made out of 0.10 stainless
Steel pipe rather than tube.
