The Skycar is a total sinkhole. The promises abound but it hasn't ever run for more than a few minutes. And yes that was teathered.

The Moller Skycar has been around for a long time. Uses 8 or 10 rotary engines for power. I believe it has only been flown thithered. My personal opinion is it is a black hole for investors money.
