Too much time has passed, Scott. Can not recall, but it was probably a 1/4 NPT (which at 0.540"dia is a lot larger than 1/4") [:>).

Here I am staring right at the exact thing you did and did it cross my mind you were plugs up and that was the very fitting I was talking about, NOPE...
I kept thinking I was looking at the outlet for the intake heating( or at least I think thats what the smaller cousin to this one is on the "top"( as referenced from the car installed orientation )of the same housing )
By chance do you remember what you tapped it with, 1/2" npt?
