I was just looking at the 1-1/4" valve below.  I believe the native hose size of the EWP is 1-1/4", so that seems like a logical size to me.  See Jim, I've been looking :-) 
Rusty (got bigger cooling questions at the moment)


 The spring loaded ball valve will be to restrictive, better with a flapper valve.
