Bob,
I use two Odyssey PC-680 batteries, but one will crank my 3-rotor just fine.  The second is for redundancy, as is the second alternator.  The dimensions are 7.0 x 3-1/16 x 6-5/8.  If you locate it in the tail, you may want to use #2 welding cable to keep the voltage drop to a minimum.
