Hi Todd,
You've gotta stop working so hard and play a bit - get
back to flying, no snow, freezing rain, wind-chill, etc, so now's the time to do
it{:>).
OK, always got to be one or two in the group. So
basically, you turn off everything with the key, fuel pump, EC2 and injectors -
well, that should do it OK.
Good to hear from you, was beginning to wonder if you had
headed up to North Country - I mean way up North.

9/11 - Fuel Pump Shut off was [FlyRotary] Re: Method of killing power??
Hi Ed; Ok, I just gotta be different. I
just use the key switch to shut down. This removes power from the bus that
feeds the injectors, ignition, EC2 & fuel pumps immediately. Engine shuts
down instantly just like an auto, never had a problem using this method. In
case anyone would point out the single mode failure, etc of this, I should
also add that I have these items fed from my critical system/endurance buss so
this switch can be bypassed.
Todd (still using
a stock turbo with no problems) (ok, so I don't actually have time to fly
anymore, but I didn't have any problems, when I used to fly before I had a kid
:-)

err......urmp... I mean we now have two more respondents - with their
preference for engine shut down. I know I had decided to stop the
survey - but, how could I when one of the latest respondents also uses the
disable switch {:>)
Ok, heard from two more, the
count now is out of 11 respondents (including yours
truly), it looks like the methods of engine shut down are:
9 - turn off fuel pump
2- Disable injector
(can't remember whether I counted Rusty, then
concluded he didn't count anyhow {:>)
Clearly fuel pump shut-off is the method
preferred by the majority and I don't think further respondents is going
to change that to any meaningful degree.
