Ben,

I am not using the EM2 but have wired for it. I am also using the GRT
EIS. I plan to borrow Dennis H.'s one night when he's asleep and run the
auto tune. Maybe we could convince Tracy to make a rental EM2 available
to assist with tuning.

Subject: [FlyRotary] EC2 question

Gang,

I sent Tracy an email regarding using both his EM2 and my GRT EIS.
The reason I want to use both is, I have a GRT EFIS and want to display
the engine parameters on the EFIS and utilize its user definable limits.
I also want EM2's auto tune capability. Tracy answered my question very
well, but I hate to bother him again, as I know he has a million things
going on, as well as trying to get ready to be gone for a while. So let
me pose this question to you all. He says the pressure functions will
not be able to be shared. But temperatures would. What parameters does
the EM2 use to auto tune? Meaning, what are the neccessary measurements
for it to do its job, and what are just on there for pilot information.
I was thinking, that if there are parameters that have to be shared, I
could put in switches to switch from one monitor to the other. Most of
the time utilizing the GRT EIS, but for tuning and engine set up or
changes, switch to the EM2. Thoughts? Am I just crazy? Is the auto tune
that difficult manually that it is worth all this trouble?

Thanks...
Ben Schneider
