Can end and center housings that are cast iron be hot tanked?  I think they use a mild acid heated up.  I have to give a talk on the rotary next weekend and I thought it would be good to have pieces on hand.  Is there a web site where I can download a program that shows the rotary combustion cycle?  Thanks for any help.

Caustic soda, heated. Very aggressive on grease. OK on ferris metals. Dissolves aluminum and other non ferris metals, and skin.

Rotary irons are fine in a hot tank.
