Subject: [FlyRotary] BUI (Big Ugly
Intake)
For
those who might be interested, and to give Rusty some space, here's a couple
of pictures of my part finished intake.
It's
a bit close to the cowl at the rear end of the plenum, and the end injector
boss is up against the cowl, so it's going to need some "adjustment". The
throttle body will go on the front end plate. Once we have it right the welds
will be "cleaned up". Just a work in progress. Weight is
11lb.

About the only clear benefit
that the "Plugs Up" orientation gives is you generally have plenty of room for
intakes, something that is usually tight on the regular orientation. I
presume you are going to place a single throat throttle body on the
front? Did you have any problem getting the tube closest to the front
cover to miss your alternator bracket?
