For those who might be interested, and to give Rusty some space, here's a couple of pictures of my part finished intake. 
It's a bit close to the cowl at the rear end of the plenum, and the end injector boss is up against the cowl, so it's going to need some "adjustment". The throttle body will go on the front end plate. Once we have it right the welds will be "cleaned up". Just a work in progress. Weight is 11lb.

    About the only clear benefit that the "Plugs Up" orientation gives is you generally have plenty of room for intakes, something that is usually tight on the regular orientation.  I presume you are going to place a single throat throttle body on the front?  Did you have any problem getting the tube closest to the front cover to miss your alternator bracket?
