Hi Rusty,

Yeah, it was a good thing I flew in Wednesday before the front to help Laura and Tracy set up - otherwise, there would have been no rotary fliers there (other than Tracy of course).  Had hoped Bill and Jason could have made it from Texas and Rich with your old RV-3.  But, guess will have to wait for next year.

Since you once flew a rotary (even if you have back-slid ), we'll let you attend {:>)

Just got back home after a great stay at Shady Bend and the Rotary Roundup. Sorry, some of you could not make it - it was a good one.  Seeing Tracy fire up his 20B for the first time was great!  The only down side is that I was the only rotary flyer to make it in due to weather and other circumstances.

Hi Ed,

Glad to hear all went well, but the fronts were almost certain to reduce the number of flying aircraft that made it.  Since Rich couldn't make it, at least he didn't get his scheduled opportunity to talk bad about me :-)

I'm glad to hear Tracy got to run his 20B.  From the pics, I think we need to work on his building priorities though.  Seems like intersection fairings should come AFTER wings and a tail :-)

Next year, I'll make it for sure, but it will probably be in the Lyclone powered RV-8.  I actually logged an hour of RV-8 time today...in a friends plane :-)

Cheers,
Rusty (first flight in 2-3 weeks)
