In this picture, is the horizontal flange something that you added?  In other words, it isn't part of PL's casting?  I looked at the later pics, and it appears that you welded your pipes to this flange, then bolted the flange to the casting.  Is that correct?

    I decided I might want to reuse the casting and it would be difficult if I went welding pipes to it.  So I made a 3/8" thick flanges and brazed the tubes to it  and used some 6mm dia bolts holding it in 4 places where its thickest and a couple of 4mm bolts between each large and small runner.
