 I spent part of the afternoon with Turbo Tom at a soaring club (he was the tractor driver this weekend, and I'm going to get into this stuff). 
 
Driving tractors :-)
 
Also, since rotarys aren't exactly torque factories, the benefits are not as great as with recips.   
 
I was re-reading some of the Maximum Boost book today, and noticed one of Bell's "rules".  "Turbos make torque, and torque makes fun".   
 
 That said, he assured me that it CAN be done - but you will need a SERIOUS intercooler for good results.  No surprises here. 
 
Certainly it can be done.  My FD does it very well.  Then again, the largest (by a huge margin) waste of money has been the larger intercooler that I installed.  It's about 250% the size of the wimpy original, and came with a much better duct as well.  As far as I can tell, it did NOTHING, nada, zippo.  I will still try to work one in on the final version, but I'm not holding my breath that it will be significant.
