George, There are few places that you can return the oil. It does not have to be directly in the oil pan. Some housings have turbo oil return they are on the exhaust side. Mine is on the iron closest to the flywheel. Also there is one by the oil metering pump. I'm not sure, but the oil metering mounting pad can be used too?

I am almost ready to give up my custom oil system, and connect the engine oil to the PSRU, as Tracy Crook recommends.

Has anyone connected the oil drain without removing the oil pan?
