You can run just about any boost you = want, as long as you can keep the mixture, timing, air temp, and engine = cooling under control. I'm just trying to work my way up in boost cautiously. =20 =20 I hope you do not become so sucessful at holding the boost down by = porting or whatever control scheme you end up using, that you lose the ability = to go to a "War Emergency" power setting of "all it will put out" to help you clear a ridge, or whatever. =20 =20 Not to worry Dale. My goal is to be able to use the wastegate to adjust boost from a minimum of 3-5 psi, to a max of about 12 psi, when the = throttle is wide open. At the moment, the wastegate is too small. When the wastegate is wide open (minimum boost), and the throttle is wide open, I have 10+ psi of boost. In other words, my boost control range is = currently from about 10 psi up to some frightening turbo destroying level. = Porting (enlarging) the wastegate will allow me to lower my controllable range, hopefully, to at least as low as 5 psi.
