When you say 35 degrees, is that = at idle or are you talking static timing on sensor position (recommended = position)? 35 BTDC spark timing is pretty advanced for idle speed. At = WOT it should be somewhere around 25 BTDC. 35 would be OK for low MAP = at 4000 - 5000 rpm. Tracy Beats me, Tony, but the good news is with the coil wires spaced apart, = I was=20 able to get a better timing reading. I had it a little fast-retarded = it to=20 35 degrees BTDC and it purrs like a kitten now. With no prop, it will = idle=20 as low as 800 RPM, and smoooothe. Whew!
