The
DAR came to day and gave me that magic little pink paper that says
my
project has a "Special Airworthiness Certificate" so it is officially
an
airplane.
Congratulations, Bob. Although I don’t
consider these things officially airplanes until they flyJ.
Where you headed in ND? Be sure to stop in at my old
home town – Glen Ullin. There is absolutely nothing to do there;
but they have a nice new runway 4000 ft, and a transient hangar. I think
there are about 2 airplanes based at the field.
Al (Expect my plane to get airborne again tomorrow)
First
flight will still be a while as there is one
component
that needs upgrading - the pilot (me) needs a tailwheel
endorsement.
I had an instructor lined up, but he lost the use of the
plane
he was going to use to instruct me. I now have another
instructor
and will work on the taildragger skills until my wife
insists
on leaving for a visit to ND.
