Check out the Mistral Engines display at Oshkosh.
They have a new exhaust system that I am hoping will fit my Conversion Concepts
engine mount. I already have their production intake manifold assembly for
my '89 13B NA engine. It is very well done.

Subject: [FlyRotary] Exhaust
Summer found me detoured from the airplane
project. Now I have the exhaust system fabricated, it is time to try
some exhaust experiments. Does any one have an idea on the auto exhaust
temperatures after the catalytic converter. My V-6 cylinder pickup is
going to need exhaust work and somewhere it is stuck in my mind that I read
that the exhaust can go as high as 1900 degrees, so don't leave running
in dry grass. This happened at Sun n Fun. I'm thinking of trying
the 60 degree angle plate drilled full of holes, may 1/8" or 5/32" and welded
in a section of pipe and see what happens. If it turns into an exploding
cigar I'll be on the ground. Those cones are 3" in dia. and $60.00 would
be less expensive than a muffler and with the housing would be lighter.
JohnD Is anyone going to Oshkosh? I
hope to be there the first and second
day.
