Appreciate the thought Mark, but when I say "left off" I mean as in
never there. It got left off in the schematic transfer to the board
maker. It isn't there on any of the single piece units. The update
does not apply to the earlier two part units.
I could send you a picture of nothing at all though : )

mandatory update
Tracy,
Can you possibly post
a picture? Since I haven’t detected any noise in my system, I would hate
to pull the box out and send it half-way across the U.S. to fix a
non-problem. If we could check our own units, maybe you won’t have such
a large pile of UPS boxes piled up at your doorstep. I’m just trying to
save you some work. ;-)

To All single part EM2
users:
I just identified a problem
which causes radio noise in some
installations.
There was a high frequency
bypass capacitor left off the single piece version of EM2. There should
be a .33 uF 50vdc part (low series inductance type, not electrolytic) from the
+12v input line to ground near the switching regulator chip. Don't
know why I don't hear that much radio noise on the bench and in
some completed installations but the noise on the +12 volt line is
obvious.
Sorry for the inconvenience but
send the unit back and I'll fix it. No charge of
course.
