I flew with a HALTECH automobile after market EFI system for
the first 100+ hours. It had a mixture control that worked, but one
annoying feature was its limited range. As best I recall it was +-
10% and just was not sufficient. Finally, it died (fortunately while I was
on the ground) and I went to Tracy's EC2 and never looked
back. Another less than desirable feature was you had to tune
it with a lap-top - try that while flying {:>).

Bill,
Do you know what EFI system will be installed on the Powersport
next ? I am not sure +/- 10% mixture control will be enough for
aggressive leaning........Tracy's
EC2 has +/- 50% rich/lean manual mixture control........

Kelly,
Powersport's system is their own. They sell it as a stand alone
product. (They will have few takers without serious upgrades) FWIW Mistral is
listening to Tracy their system uses LOP operation as standard in cruise. (NA)
They are reporting fuel flows slightly better than Lycs for the same power.
Nice work on their part, and Tracy's of course. At least they are willing to
listen! I would like to see them (Mistral) fly along side a Lyc powered
Cherokee to test performance.
