When I moved my four injectors to my throttle body plenimum, my aluminum tubes condensed enough water that I at first thought I had a fuel leak. Regarding your question about instrumentation - If I were installing the turbo gages in a car I would use PSI, if I were installing it in an aircraft I would use inches Hg. Simply because that is the two different conventions used by automobile folks and aircraft folks for the same thing. If you really know what they are telling you in the operating environment then either will do, but I would stick to convention.
