You would like to normally get the prop down to 700 to 900 rpm has been my ground rule. It will depend on much drag you have in the landing confiquration. My 6 could land easily with a 1000 rpm prop, but not so with my 9. The 9 doesn't wish to quit flying at that rpm. All this is very vague, but think it depends on the airframe and prop combination.
