Chuck may be flying his 6 from Phoenix area and you might be able to get a ride with him. How about Todd B, is he going to come from BC, don't think it is much further for him than me. Checked yesterday on the AW map and it is a 1000 nm for me, but heck flew the 6 to LOE in Las Cruces several times. Bernie, got Sensenich prop back from rework and hope to fire it up tomorrow. sorry about posting from top Charlie and no hangover for excuse! ----------------------------------------------------------- On Sat, 31 Dec 2005 15:09:38 -0800 David Leonard writes: Bill, I will try to get there as best I can. My painter of choice is probably GLO painting north of DFW: http://www.glocustom.com/main/services.php They are located at 52F which I see is less than 50 miles from you. Lately I have been leaning toward getting the painting done locally because of the distance and some of the folks around here would volunteer to look after my plane while I am in Iraq. But your fly-in may be just the enticement especially if you might be willing to look after my plane while I am in Iraq. I'm not sure what that will entail. I plan to get a tie-down wherever the paint shop is. Looking after the plane will probably just entail being available to assist if something unexpected needs to be done. I sure would help to have someone familiar with the Rotary and Tracy's stuff in an RV-6 (like yourself) to be available in case there is a need. The last thing I would need is a ride home. Is there anyone coming from the west coast(or just have some free time - Tracy, Ed, Bernie, Bill?) that could give me a ride back to San Diego?
