Perhaps this will help, it should cover the larger exhaust ports as well as the Turbo.

My question is this - are the exhaust ports / bolt pattern for the 2nd and 3rd gen engines identical? Up to now I've been using a 2nd gen turbo and manifold and it fits fine, so I think they must be.

To the best of my knowledge, the 2nd and 3rd gen exhaust ports share the same bolt pattern, and are the same distance apart.  There "might" have been some changes in actual diameter (particularly of the insert) from 86-95.  I don't think it could have been much of a difference though.
