Hi Kelly,

I am getting right at 6000 rpm on static runup.  Perhaps 6150 on a cold day.
My prop is now 74x88, I had 2" taken off the dia (76") of prop bringing the static up from 5800 to 6000 and making it a bit less hairly on take off.  Even now if I go  to WOTat start of take off roll,  I still do not have sufficient rudder authority to hold nose down the runway- takes a touch of the brake as well.  If I feed in the power a bit slower and permit airspeed to get up to around 40 mph then I can shove in full throttle and hold it with rudder along. So the 2.85 and monster prop has certainly increased the take off performance.

Hi Ed,

Don't forget to add that the P-factor is now in the opposite direction and I believe you did not change angle of engine mount to offset this. I'm not questioning that you get more thrust with this set up, just questioning if your criteria of lack of rudder is a good indicator.

Took your prop and the sensenich to plant city and left both with them. Will probably be able to pick them up on the way home from Memphis after Christmas.

Cheers and Merry Christmas in NC,
Bernie
