Hello Kelly,

Here is Ed's Post:

I replaced the old hydraulic fluid with a fairly new formulation of brake fluid made for the military to lower the fire hazards in aircraft. It is generally referred to by its military specification number MIL-H-83282A it is compatible with aircraft brake seals and the old fluid MIL-H-5606G so you can simply drain the old and pour in the new.

However, I could not find it in quantities of less than 1 gallon, so you might want to go in with a few of your flying buddies. Its not that expensive running around $18.00 per gallon and a gallon will last me decades of flying time

Here is where I ordered mine from

http://commerce.lubes.com/

click Hydraulic Fluids on the menu to the left and you should see

Royco 782-1GL

Anderol

MIL-PRF-83282

Hydraulic Fluid, 1 Gallon

$18.00

Best Regards
