Be = happy to, I won't=20 be able to do it until Saturday, but will be out at the airport = then. =20 However, I would suggest that we use the default MAP setting that = Tracy ships=20 the unit with.  I keep my "B" controller set at his default. The = reason=20 is - I can have my manual mixture control index postioned at = where ever I=20 want  - by adjusting the program value.  If optimum finds my = manual=20 knob set at 10:00 then I lean the program setting until I = get optium=20 at 12:00.  If at 2:00 then I enrichen the program MAP until I can = set the=20 manual knob to 12:00

I normally program the controller = such that my=20 arrow on my manuel mixture control points at 12:00.

Hi=20 Ed,

Thanks for=20 the test offer.  I have to admit that you lost me with your = reasoning for=20 leaving the B controller at the default.  I can't leave the B = controller=20 at the default, because it's too rich to run below about 15" = MAP.  =20 I also adjust the program value to leave the manual mixture knob at=20 12:00.  At this setting, when I turn off the primaries (MSD's) = around=20 idle, I have to turn the mixture knob all the way down, and it's still = a=20 little too rich running on the Mazda 550's.

Since you=20 have matching injectors, you would expect to be able to turn off the=20 primaries, and have the secondaries run at the same mixture = setting.  In=20 the past, you've mentioned that you have to enrichen the mixture = before=20 turning off the primaries, or the engine wants to lean out and = die.  The=20 question is- do you have to leave the mixture richer than 12:00, or = can you=20 turn it back to 12:00 and still run fine on the secondaries=20 alone?

Tracy, is=20 this a valid test?  In other words, do the primaries and = secondaries get=20 the exact same pulse width when running by themselves below the = staging=20 point?

Thanks,
Rusty

Yes, that is = an accurate=20 statement.
