Sorry, didn't make it clearer. I
leave "B" in default as a safety back up. I KNOW the engine will run in
default - so that's my standby in event I really, really screw up processor "A"
while tuning in the air, I can flip to "B" with assurance it will
run.
I understand now. I was getting hung up for a while
on trying to make B run as well as A, before I reminded myself (or
maybe Tracy pointed out) that B = Backup. All it has to do is
run well enough to get you down safely, in the unlikely event that A takes
a dive.
The latest software has the option to copy A to B for later
vintages of controllers, but it doesn't appear to work on
my EC-2. Tracy was still trying to research exactly where the cutover
occurred. It would be pretty safe to say that if you have a light in
your program button, you can forget the copy function
:-)
Yes, if below staging and I manual switch off
the primaries, the engine hesitates for a second and I found if I enrichen the
mixture immediately before/after I turn off the primaries, the secondaries catch
smoothly. Yes, then I can turn the mixture back to what I had for the
primaries.
Thanks. That's pretty much all I needed to know,
so you're relieved of testing duties
:-)
I called TWM, and asked if they knew of a way to use
other injectors, and they didn't. I'm pretty sure they figure
I'm some kind of nut-case :-)

day)
