Just one thing to add these systems have a fuel return line to = the tank, the pumps have a 90/95lbs dead head pressure regulated dow= n to 29/40lbs & fuel excess returned to the tank.

Most of the EFI cars have at least a "lift" pump, if not the a= ctual high pressure pump, in the fuel tank to prevent vapor lock.

George,
As I recall, putt= ing the filter between the tank and pump was true for the pre EFI cars, w= hich were prone to vapor locking.  But I can?t think of any of the n= ewer EFI cars that put the filter before the pump (excluding screen filte= rs).  Can you provide any examples?
