I started my 13B mounted on an RV-8 for the first time today.  Made four runs:  10 minutes at up to 2000 RPM, shut down and checked for problems; 10 minutes gradually increasing RPM to max power, shut down and checked for problems; 30 minute run - about 20 minutes at full power; 1.5 hours various RPMs adjusting mixture with Program Mode 1 and running full power for about 40 minutes.

OAT 85 degrees F.  All temps and pressures stable and within limits:  14.3 volts; Oil temp 190 F; Oil pressure 75 psi at 5000 RPM, 25 psi at 1200 RPM; Water temp 195 F full throttle; water pressure - just off the peg - may have to move the sensor; fuel pressure 40 psi at full throttle.

Wood propellor: 68" X 71" pitch; RD-1 gearbox; EC2 Engine controller.  Max static RPM 5000.  Stock Mazda oil cooler and Scrocco racing radiator mounted horizontally below the engine.

No leaks or apparent problems with the engine installation.  There is a small leak in a valve controlling water flow to the heater.

It's great to feel the airplane come alive - looking forward to the first flight.  Thanks to all the listers who share their experiences and knowledge.
