I use the electrical connectors. Mazda wants $500 for new ignition coils. I would get everything attached to the engine (manifolds, etc) as some parts are useable for aircraft. Since the oil cooler is gone you can't hear the engine run, so I would be hesitant to offer more than a couple hundred (if that much). If you could turn the engine over with a socket and long lever arm and hear six good "womps" as the apex seals go past the exhaust ports (exhaust pipe disconnect so you can hear), then I might pay $200. Its likely the eccentric shaft, water pump crank angle sensor and alternator are good. The oil pump may be Ok as well. So might be worth your $200 even if housings and/or rotor are junk. Oh, if its an automatic get the flexplate (flywheel), if a manual - you will need to find a flexplate from an automatic if you are planning on using one of Tracy Crooks redrives.
