Sounds like someone who is actually interested in promoting aviation. My kind of guy !!!  After building an airplane, one is naturally worried about the inspection process.  Nice to know we have a real DAR who likes builders to pass their inspections. Thank you, Rusty. P.S.  Glad to hear your radiator with the built-in water oil coolers seems to be functioning well.  I am considering that route myself.  Take care, and best of luck with your efforts. It will all seem worth it at lift-off.  Paul Conner, Mobile, AL

Good luck on the inspection, Rusty.....let me know a little about him after the inspection so I know what to expect in a few months.  Thanks.  Paul Conner

Hi Paul,

I can actually answer this now, since this will be the 3rd plane that Richard "Dick" Kukucka (pronounced Ka-Cooch-Ka) has inspected for me.  He is a real DAR (not just for homebuilts) out of Enterprise, AL, and an easy going type of guy.  His number is 334-347-7171.  When you're ready to get your inspection, give him a call, and he'll send you a packet of paperwork to fill out.  Return this to him, schedule a date, and he'll fly over and do your inspection.  His fee used to be $250 plus actual fuel for his trip, but I haven't asked if that's changed.  Richard expects you to pass, and will show up with all the certificates filled out.  He'll look over the plane, make recommendations, and will leave you with the paperwork as long as there isn't anything terrible that's wrong.  I can't imagine a more laid back way to get this done.

Cheers,
Rusty  (thud, thud, thud...)
