Paul,
I can actually answer
this now, since this will be the 3rd plane that Richard "Dick" Kukucka
(pronounced Ka-Cooch-Ka) has inspected for me. He is a real DAR (not just
for homebuilts) out of Enterprise, AL, and an easy going type of guy. His
number is 334-347-7171. When you're ready to get your inspection, give him
a call, and he'll send you a packet of paperwork to fill out. Return this
to him, schedule a date, and he'll fly over and do your inspection.
His fee used to be $250 plus actual fuel for his trip, but I haven't asked if
that's changed. Richard expects you to pass, and will show up with
all the certificates filled out. He'll look over the plane, make
recommendations, and will leave you with the paperwork as long as there
isn't anything terrible that's wrong. I can't imagine a more laid back way
to get this done.
