Dave, I use the Locktite Teflon thread sealant. It comes In a "lipstick"
type container. It works fine on just about anything. The Teflon tape is
fine the first time. But if you remove the fitting, makes one white hairy
mess that is hard to clean sometimes.
The threads on the RWS redrive are NPT. National Pipe Thread - tapered.
