Group,
I know this will be of interest to many.......Francois Badoux does not monitor
this group.......For your information the intake manifold is designed to fit both
4 and 6 port second generation (86-91) engines......FWIW

Francois,
Paul Lamar has shown pictures of a new intake manifold that you have
made. It looks to be exactly what I have been looking for. I have made one
of my own, but have not been very happy with the outcome. I was wondering
if you know wether it will fit the new Renesis version engine. I have a
four port Renesis in my RV7. I would be interested in the entire intake
manifold, fuel rail, and possibly throttle body. Would you sell just those
parts?
I know you are looking to certify your whole package, but I will say
if it fit the Renesis engine, you could have a number of sales here in the
US experiemntal market that could potentially help offset the cost of a
casting run. If you were to sell one, what would you charge. When would it
be avaiable? If you are not sure of the fit to a Renesis engine, would you
be willing to ship on to the US and if it not fit, would you take a
return. (I would of course cover all shipping regardless of wether it fit
or not) Please consider this, I am really impressed with the manifold, it
looks to be exactly what I need.
I also want to say that I enjoyed meeting you at Oshkosh last year. I
am pleased to see someone pursuing certification for a rotary engine.
Thank you Francois.

Hi Ben,
Thank you for your interest in our products and in our project. Yes, I plan
to make available our intake manifolds as spare parts to individual engine
builders such as you or the other people on the newsletter.
However, I cannot guarantee it will fit without modifications a Renesis
block and Mistral will not make modifications to its design. But you are
free to do it.
Exceptionally, I would be willing to take the part in return if it does not
or cannot be made to fit, as long as it is like new and that you pay all
shipping costs.
Obviously, your order would have to be added to one planned casting run. We
just had one for the pre-series parts photographed and which you will
see at Oshkosh. The next run is scheduled for September.
We haven't worked out a price yet for the 2 manifolds, throttle body,
injection rail and injectors' box, but I'll have one ready for you at
Oshkosh.
I'll send some pictures of the complete intake system installed, early
next week.
Best regards,
Francois
