If the spring pressure on the flap is adequate. Rememeber that you might have some negative pressure in there on transients and the flap will always be operating, so make sure it is stout. Some have a built in latch that you can open on command. BTW, I ran into low intake pressure that was due to blocked filter that caused the alt air door to open all the time. Having the thing moving a lot will cause a broken intake air flapper-and possible parts ingestion.
