You will not be limited by choke size as we are. So the power should be a no brainer for aircraft use.
Cooling will be a bigger problem than power.

I had meant to ask before about the choke size restrictions.  It sounds like all the race engine figures you're giving are at whatever choke limitation the SCCA imposes, and not what we could do with an airplane.  What about the PP HP figures?  Are PP's allowed in your class of racing?  If so, do they have the same choke size limitations?  I'm still just trying to get a direct comparison, preferably without choke limitations.  
 
Did you make the move to FL yet?
