I'm kind of amazed that the 'far end of the runner injector position' has gained such a following. As far as I can tell, it's popularity is based on a third hand report on 'the other list' about Racing Beat's 900 HP turbocharged 20B project. They apparently made a comment about seeing slightly better BSFC with injectors at the far end of the runner. This may in fact have been true but an engine as radical as that is not necessarily indicative of what we would experience on our engines. I'd want better evidence before committing to this configuration. Tracy
I agree about needing positive evidence before committing to my design which is injection into the bells. It is my intention to build the test engine and run in on a dyno. This will include running it in icing conditions (not difficult to produce in my shop in winter.) The engine will have to have a stable idle and excellent throttle response. If it does not, I will relocate the injectors. The reason for bell mouth injection is that it is easy to fabricate an intake with both secondary and primary injectors taking full advantage of the redundancy provided by your EFI. The intake is just bolted on. It can be removed/changed if I don't like it. Jerry
