   So, if that engine is running too rich and you havent done the MAP setup (why not?), reach over and turn that mixture control left (lean) when at idle.  
 
I'm certainly guilty as charged for running too rich.  The RX-7 taught me that.  As for tuning, I haven't done any yet.  I plan to spend this weekend tuning the engine, which is why I've been whining to get the latest firmware before I get started.  I also have to line up a pilot to sit in the cockpit and keep a hand on the throttle and EC-2 power, while I timidly sneak up to the back of the engine at 4000 rpm :-0
