Hi! Ben
Some of my reason for using "plugs up" are one the thrust line on the Christavia is very high on the fire-wall, this allows the engine to be positioned higher, an other advantage is that the exhaust exit is easier to set up. It also gives more room for the intake system. I think that a coolant header tank higher than the engine is important to avoid air trapped near the spark plugs. There is no problem with lubrication( I drilled an oil return hole in rear main housing to avoid having oil trapped behind the seal) Ed reports that he hasn't had any oil leak problem without.

There are a number of advantages in my opinion, but not trying to sell "Plugs Up", so will refrain from enumerating them.

Ed, I'd like to know what the advantages are, in your opinion, of plugs up.
I have a 20B that will have a dry sump, inverted oil system and am curious if plugs up would be better.
Thanks!
Ben
