That is one hunk of a PSRU you are working on Ernest - have you calculated how it would affect your W&B?

Very badly.  I didn't run the numbs so much as run FROM the numbers!

It's heavy, 27lbs  for just the gearbox right now.  But my biggest chance for weight reduction is in the bellhousing, and there are still a lot of other stuff to work out.  I'm looking to save weight up front by:

- using the Harley Davidson alternator
-keeping the intake very light (we talked about using .025 stainless)
-moving the waterpump and radiators behind the point of aerodynamic lift
-very light muffler (probably around 7 lbs)
-deburr and trim off any piece of the engine that isn't necessary.  Those extra studs you have would have to go on my installation.  The engine lift attach point on the front housing will see a bandsaw when I tear the engine down.
-I'm still looking for more savings (and aluminum side housings are still not out of the question).
