Group
Even though I am new to the group & didn't personally know Paul it sadden me to hear of Paul's death, My first reaction was "why am I doing this? look at the results" After reading a few email's I realized that he was following his dream & had accomplished a lot. We should make the best of this sad accident & make sure we find the cause & learn from it. I just realized that even for an outsider like me this group  is more than rotary theories to all of us. May Paul rest in peace.

Words well spoken, Bernie

It felt like a gut punch when I first read Carol's message.  But, as you
point out, we are not sitting at home in our rocking chair when we climb
aboard our experimental  rotary powered aircraft.  Having had my share of
"troubles", I can tell you calling someone on the ground-who can not help-is
far down my priority list (actually not even on it).  Paul was as cool a
pilot as I have know and I am certain few could have coped any better with
whatever Paul faced.  Sometimes, the best of efforts is not  enough and the
good guy does not win.  On the other hand, I have only to look at the FAA
accident daily list to know that what happened is not unique to our small
group.  But, it always hits harder when its someone you know, respect and
like.
