The 3mm seals are a must with Turbo BUT I have been advised that they don't seal as well as the 2mm .

No personal experience, just an impression that the 3mm seals being heavier may cause more wear on the housing walls than the ligher 2mm.  I know they are used, but I have also heard that some milling of slots by some parties is less precise than needed.  But, if you are having good results - I certainly wouldn't tear down the engine to replace them. {:>)

I have considered that, but not really keen on using 3mm seals and the one rotor does have its slot mashed together although I imagine that milling it to 3mm would remove the damage.  I think I am going to spring for NEW rotors even if the old RX-7 9.7:1 ones. 
 
May I ask why? (says he with the indestructible 3mm seals installed)
